Today I have joining me on my blog fellow Brit Doris O'Connor

She is celebrating her new release Panther Magic, book 5 of The Projects Series, which was released on 4th June.

There’s no such thing as magic…

Kate doesn’t believe in it, let alone the panther sort Arran and Zeb Harris are famous for. Using animals in their act is just downright cruel. If only she could convince her libido of that. Instead she seems to have fallen head over heels in lust with those sex-on-legs twin brothers. Getting laid will cure this, surely?

When panther shifters Arran and Zeb scent their mate, they know they’ll have a fight on their hands. The delectable human morsel might be submissive, but Kate has spirit, never mind the small matter she has no idea shifters exist.

They want her submission freely given and not forced upon her by the mysterious mating bond. However, when their panthers kill while rescuing Kate, that bond might well be the only thing to keep them alive.

It’s up to Kate to save her Sirs.

Story Excerpt:

“Have you actually seen our act?” Arran’s softly spoken question took the wind out of her righteous sails somewhat, and she tried her best to glare at him, too, which lasted all of two seconds under his quiet regard. One eyebrow rose in query, and with his full mouth set in a grim line, he radiated disapproval, and she couldn’t bring herself to hold his gaze. Instead she shook her head, and she dropped it down to his muscle packed chest, which was not helping one iota. Wrenching her gaze upward again, she finally settled for staring at his jaw. Mind you, that, too,

was far too distracting, covered as it was in designer stubble. It simply drew her attention to his strong neck and the way his Adam’s apple moved as he spoke, even more softly this time. There was no mistaking the edge to his words though that made her want to sink to her knees and apologize.

She once heard it said that a true Dom didn’t need to raise his voice, and she’d never truly understood that until this moment, and they weren’t even in a scene. Lord help her if they ever were.

“So, tell me, sweet thing, how can you form an opinion on how we treat the animals we use if you’ve never seen us in action?”

Kate wanted the ground to swallow her up whole. He had a point there, she guessed, but, bugger it all to hell and back if she was going to admit that.

She settled for shrugging her shoulders, and jumped when Zeb grasped her chin and thus gave her no choice but to look up at him.

“Give us the courtesy of looking at us when you condemn us without knowing all the facts, girl. Shrugging your shoulders like that is downright rude, and I think you know what happens to rude girls. If you think yourself safe from recriminations, because we’re in a public space, then think again. I have no compunction of putting you over my knee right now.”

Natasha’s loud gasp broke the tense moment, and Zeb smiled and released her as abruptly as he had grasped her.

“Sorry, Sir.” Kate had to murmur that quiet apology, when the loss of his touch on her skin left her curiously at sea. Approval flashed across his far too handsome features, and Kate got the oddest sensation when she stared into his eyes. They seemed to briefly flash to a soft, glowing yellow, before she blinked, and she looked back into their more usual warm chestnut.

“However, Sir,” she said and Zeb frowned and Arran gave a short laugh, and shook his head in what seemed to be wry amusement. “You are not my Dom. I have not agreed to a scene, and if you tried to put me over your knee in any way shape or form without my agreement, public space or not, I’d have you up for an assault charge faster than you can say poor mistreated cat.”

There, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Kate crossed her arms again, in an effort to hide her trembling hands, and focused on Natasha, instead of the two overbearing hunks in front of her. Despite her insides churning like clothes on a spin cycle, her lips twitched at the open mouthed expression on her friend’s face.

Talk about giving her a demonstration to prove the point that submissive didn’t equal doormat. They’d had that discussion only this morning on their way over to the spa. Then again, Kate was the first to admit that she was a rather bratty sub at the best of times.

“She’s got you there, bro.” Arran’s amused voice brought Kate’s attention back to him, and she lost herself in the smile he gave her. That smile alone would guarantee that most females would drop their knickers in an instant. Not that she was most females, and besides she wasn’t wearing knickers. Bikini bottoms didn’t count, surely.

“I fear we’ve started off on the wrong foot somewhat, and for that I apologize, Kate.” He looked across at his brother and some sort of silent communication seemed to occur between the two men, because Zeb nodded, and he, too smiled, showing a set of even white teeth that must make his dentist very proud of him.

Kate groaned at her thought processes. This was beyond ridiculous, really. Why did these two get to her so much?

“There is an easy way of remedying this situation, however,” Arran said. “We would very much like to invite you to come and see one of our performances, as our VIP guests. You and Natasha both.”

He nodded at Natasha, and for the second time in the last few minutes, Kate’s friend looked as though she was going to have a heart attack.

“Oh, my, really? We’d love to come, wouldn’t we, Kate? Oh, this is so kind of you, really. Kate will be there, won’t you?”

It was on the tip of Kate’s tongue to deny this assumption, but the way Natasha implored her with her big feline eyes meant that she couldn’t, so instead she just gave a tight nod. Natasha’s squeal rang in her ears, and the two men’s tight shoulders relaxed. She hadn’t even noticed how tense they had become until that moment, and Kate briefly wondered why this seemed to mean so much to them, before she was pulled into a bear hug by Natasha.

“Thank you, you’ll love it, you’ll see.” Natasha’s whisper in her ear did nothing to quell the churning in her tummy when she looked across at the two men. Cat that got the cream sprang to mind, and she forced a smile on her lips, when Natasha finally released her, and Zeb and Arran made their goodbyes.

Heat flared up her arms when they both took one of her hands each and bending over them kissed them in an old fashioned gesture that made Kate want to swoon like a Regency heroine in the historical romance novels she liked to read.

“Until we meet again,” Arran said.

“I’ll look forward to your proper apology then, girl.”

Kate tried to snatch her hand away at Zeb’s outrageous words, but he held firm until she stopped struggling. Only then did he release her hand after he turned it over and dropped a lingering kiss on the rapidly beating pulse in her wrist.

With a smirk to send her bikini bottoms aflame he winked at her, and left her to stare after the departing forms of him and his twin.

To celebrate the release I’m giving away a $25 Amazon GC and two e-books from my back list. Entry via Rafflecopter.

You know that old saying… A picture speaks a thousand words. Never is that truer than when your muse is a very visual creature like mine is. Hot men get her going every time, and this story is no exception. I had no intention of writing this story in fact, until, my search for a Mancandy birthday pic for a friend let me to these two hunks.

Incidentally, if anyone knows who these two are, please let me know in the comments J

Where was I? Oh yes… My friend loved the pic, and some light hearted banter occurred. Was she going to have one or two…. Separately or at the same time…

*grins*

Her husband chirped up saying it sounded like one of my books, and just like that Zeb and Aran Harris jumped into my head, and wouldn’t leave me alone until I told their story.

And, trust me, having not one but two Alpha, Panther Shifter, Doms in my head, I did as I was told—fast!

I’ve learned long ago, never to argue with my characters, especially the Doms. No, sirreee, this little subbie does as she’s told in those circumstances.

You can’t say the same about the heroine of this story, Kate. Experienced submissive she might be, but as those in the lifestyle will know, that certainly doesn’t equal doormat, and Kate is one feisty human.

Blog Host - Michelle Roth

Michelle Roth, a Siren and Evernight Author from Canada joins me on my blog. Today she is releasing her new book, Shakedown, the first in a new series she's writing for Evernight, Diamond & Diamond Private Investigators...I'm looking forward to reading this one myself as it looks like we are on the same wave length!

Hi there, everyone! I'm Michelle Roth and I'm here to introduce my latest release, Shakedown. Diamond and Diamond is a bit of a departure from anything that I've written thus far. My previous works have all been ultra-realistic contemporary romance. Shakedown still has the sexy, steamy elements just like any other erotic romance, but it also incorporates a bit of suspense and mystery as well. I certainly hope you enjoy!

Shakedown

Private Detective Mike Diamond is the low man on the totem pole. More often than not he finds himself investigating insurance fraud or cheating spouses. When he's assigned a dog-napping case, he is on the brink of refusing until he meets the client. One look at her changes everything.

When the police refuse to investigate her case, Cassidy Werner turns to Diamond and Diamond Private Investigators. Despite the bad first impression he's given her, Cassidy still hires Mike to help her find her prize Tibetan Mastiff. As she gets to know him, she realizes that he's not only dedicated to getting Roddy back for her, but also a pretty great guy.

Right after she receives a ransom demand, things begin to heat up between them. Will Mike be able to crack the case and save her dog? And if he can, does that mean that he gets the girl too?

(Excerpt:)

He was relieved to find the lobby was empty, so he stopped back at Lara's desk and asked, “Can you believe that shit? A dog napping?”

He didn't think for a minute she hadn't overheard every word. That woman was like the KGB and Secret Service all in one. Anything happened in this office, she had it under immediate surveillance.

Lara cuffed him on the arm and said, “She's in the bathroom, idiot.”

Mike winced, feeling bad he'd probably been overheard. But, seriously, who hired a PI to find a lost dog?

Seconds later, the bathroom door slowly opened. He almost did a double take as the woman stepped out. Aside from red eyes that had clearly been crying, she was a looker.

She was elegantly dressed and somewhere near his age, with a riot of auburn curls trailing down

her back, like some sort of mermaid siren. All ripe, lush curves. He'd always liked his women soft.

And, he was ogling this obviously distraught woman like she was a steak. Not that he wouldn't be more than interested in taking a bite, but it was clear that now wasn't the time. So instead of voicing his thoughts, he stuck his hand out and said, “Mike Diamond. And you are?”

“Cassidy Werner,” she said, not bothering to stick her hand out.

Well, apparently she'd heard him. He'd need to apologize, if the look on her face was any indication. He dropped his hand and said, “My office is this way.”

She gave him a look that screamed 'You're on thin ice, buddy' but moved toward the open office door that Mike had gestured to. He followed her, once again appreciating the hourglass waist and full hips. Damn.

He moved behind his desk and gestured to one of the worn chairs. When she had settled in, he asked, “So I understand your dog has been kidnapped?”

Michelle Roth is a novelist from the Great White North (Toronto, ON). When she’s not disappearing into foreign lands, or making two perfect strangers that she invented fall in love, she’s probably curled up somewhere with a glass of wine and a good book.

In her spare time she is typically hanging out with her awesome boyfriend and their two equally awesome cats. She likes taking road trips to nowhere in particular, cooking elaborate meals thenmaking other people do the dishes, and being nerdy on the internet. Her books are currently available on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, and any other place that sells absolutely filthy romance novels.

Today I have Evelise Archer joining me with her new book, Tiara's Golden Submission.

Blurb

On the cusp of turning fifty, Tiara, a submissive without a Dom or husband, desired to return to the lifestyle. Placing her destiny in the hands of Madame Eve and the 1Night Stand Service, will Tiara find all that she seeks? Or will a past love interfere with her future plans?

Excerpt~

“You still got it, girl.” Admiring her lithe and toned body in the full-length mirror, she donned the silk robe left on a hook.

She folded and stowed her costume on the chair so when she returned to the bathroom it would be readily available. Stepping into the dimly lit hallway, Tiara followed the recessed lighting located in the floor to where a DM stood ramrod straight, muscular arms crossed over his chest.

“You may enter.” He held the door open for her and followed her in. “Please remember to utilize your safewords, if necessary. Yellow to slow down and red to stop. If at any time you feel unsettled or unsafe, this button will send a signal to me, and I will enter immediately to stop all play. Do you understand?” The DM pointed to the panic button.

“Yes, I understand.”

“Enjoy.” Without a glance backwards, the imposing DM vacated the room. Stripping off her robe, she folded and left it on a chair for later.

The walls of the Doctor’s Office were a pale pink with brown accents. Her eyes were drawn to the intricate examining table with fur-lined stirrups at the base. The table appeared to be disjointed to allow for adjustable angles. She ran her fingers along the wardrobe cabinet, dark cherrywood sanded smooth to the touch. A queen-size bed, also dark wood, sat in the far corner. She stood at parade rest, eyes downcast.

Today I have joining me on my blog a newbie author! A New Zealander, Maia Dylan is here to talk about her first ever release with Siren Publishing. Lost Faith which is the first book in a series entitled Grey River, which was released a few days ago.

LOST FAITH – GREY RIVER 1

Buy Link www.bookstrand.com/maia-dylan

Blurb:

Is it better to have loved and lost than never loved at all? For Ty and Trent Jamieson, the Grey River pack Alphas, they would say either would be preferable to both!

They knew Faith Abrams was destined to be theirs from the moment they first came across her scent. Finding out that she was only 19 and studying put their grand mating plans to the back burner, at least for a couple of years. Problems only arose when she suddenly left them when they had finally decided to come clean about their feelings that they had kept hidden and claim her. They lost Faith and when Mother Nature steps in dramatically to give them an opportunity to get her back, things become very clear that perhaps her leaving was not all as it seemed.

Can the brothers bring their fated triad together and protect their mate as it should have always been? Or are they destined to lose Faith forever?

**erotic romance, ménage a trois, paranormal, shape-shifter, anal sex, double penetration

The story…

EXCERPT:

“Well, I guess we start Operation Mate Claim when Faith gets up from her nap for dinner, huh?” Trent went back to finishing their dinner of steaks, baked potatoes, and a green salad. Ty chuckled as they both heard the door to the mistress suite open slowly and hesitant steps come out into the corridor.

“I guess our mate is hungry,” Ty stated as he went to meet Faith and bring her into the kitchen for dinner.

Trent felt his heart sped up. He was nervous, for fuck’s sake! This was like their first real date! This was the first time the three of them would be together when he and his brother were on the same page and trying to get Faith to accept them as life partners. The importance of this was not lost on him, or his wolf, who for the first time since Faith arrived on their doorstep that afternoon had stopped prowling in his mind.

The scent of his mate suddenly filled the kitchen, and Trent closed his eyes to draw her scent into his lungs. My God. She smelled delicious, and he couldn’t wait to take a great big ol’ bite out of her. Just the thought of getting his mouth on her body caused major blood loss to his brain as his dick suddenly filled. Shit, if this continued, he was going to have a zipper imprint on his dick for life!

“You and me both, Brother.” Ty’s strained voice came to him down their link. Well, misery liked company, so at least he wasn’t alone.

Trent turned to smile at Faith as Ty got her settled at the kitchen counter. She was dressed for comfort in a large cotton button-down shirt and leggings. They had decided to keep this meal casual, as the conversation afterward would be anything but. Within minutes the three of them were settled at the counter with plates piled high with food before them.

“Wow, this looks fantastic, guys! Thanks.” Faith cut into her steak. It was cooked to her liking, well-done, which was sacrilege as far as he was concerned. Faith must have noticed the frown he and Ty wore, and she laughed, sending tingles over his skin at the sound. “Yeah, I know, it’s sacrilege to have a steak well-done, blah blah blah. But your steaks look like a good veterinarian would have them up and running in ten minutes!”

Ty and Trent threw their heads back and laughed. They loved their mate’s sense of humor. She had always been able to make them laugh. After that, the atmosphere definitely relaxed, and it wasn’t until then that Trent realized just how tense it had been up until that point. The conversation throughout dinner was simple and light, shared memories from two years ago playing a major role in the evening.

As the meal drew to a close, the brothers ushered Faith to a chair at the kitchen counter with a cup of coffee while they took care of cleaning up. When they were all seated around the counter, the conversation stopped altogether. Trent felt the tension rise as he realized that all three of them must have come to the same conclusion.

There were a lot of things that needed to be said. Trent thought about that old saying that there was an elephant in the room, and smiled when he changed the analogy to a herd of elephants in this room. So many things that needed to be talked about, apologies that needed to be made and accepted, and then trying to explain about being shifters without Faith running screaming from the house. OK, so he had effectively outlined an agenda, and now it was time to lay all their cards on the table. Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he glanced quickly at his brother and saw they were on the same page. Then he turned to face their mate. The time was now.

Maia tells us a little about herself...

Q: What inspired you to write your first book?

A: I have always been an avid reader. I am never without a book or two to fill my day, especially as I got older and my career took me around the world giving me plenty of airports and flight time to fill. I would find myself continually thinking, what if that book ended in a different way? The next thing you know, on a recent flight and hotel stay, I started writing Lost Faith!

Q: How much real life do you put into your books?

A: When it comes to my characters, quite a bit! I have met so many wonderfully strong men and women who have overcome tremendous odds to live full lives and love hard that I often think of them as a character comes to life. In terms of the locations, they are fictional but VERY real to me, and I hope others find them just as realistic..

Q. What genre do you like to write and why?

A. I love everything to do with the paranormal. I love the idea of shape shifters, and people who have extraordinary gifts. I am also a firm believer that love comes in all shapes and sizes! Ménage romances are one of my favorite genre’s to read, and I am really enjoying writing them. I think I am still finding my way with my writing, but in my world anything is possible, and one of the things I love about writing is that you are only limited by the scope of your own imagination… and my imagination is huge.

Q. What are you working on at the moment?

A. Grey River has so many stories to tell, and I am currently working on telling Rowena’s story in book four of the series. A few weeks ago, I had this pushy shape shifter nag me until I wrote his story. His name is Micah and I am really hoping to announce something with regards to that series soon… his brothers are just as pushy so I am working on book two in that series as well.

Q. Do you have anything to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read you work?

A. If you have read Lost Faith, thank you so very much! It blows my mind that someone has actually read something that I wrote, but gosh I hope you enjoyed it! Did you? Please let me know, I find I suffer from a slight case of needy-nelly with my writing. If you haven’t read my book, but you love erotic romance stories between strong men and an independent woman, where the path to their happily ever after can be a bumpy one, but there is always a happily ever after, and their love and laugher is real on every page, then you’ll find my books right up your alley!

Author bio:

Maia Dylan lives, loves and works in beautiful New Zealand. She married her best friend and they have two adorable, but stubborn children who obviously take after their father.

Maia’s career has featured a lot of travel, and she has filled her time at airports and in the air with books, books and more books. Her love of erotic paranormal romance has seen her amass a huge library. She has been an avid reader and lover of ménage romances since she read her first book in this genre about three years ago.

In January of this year, Maia submitted her first ever manuscript to Siren Publishing. She wasn’t at all confident that it would be accepted and in fact she was expecting a nicely worded email with a resounding no! Much to her surprise less than two weeks later she had an acceptance and a signed contract in hand. Since then she hasn’t looked back and currently has three books in her Grey River series set for publication.

Outside of writing, Maia loves to eat, so she loves to cook! Her herb garden is legendary, but she still has issues getting tomatoes to grow. She’s been a performer for years, and has even sung on international stages, she would love to own a classic Ford Mustang one day and of course have the opportunity to race it on a race track without fear of a speeding ticket.

Although ultimately her dream is to be able to write full time on a sandy beach with a Mai Tai at hand, she is quite happy to fit her writing in when she can. As long as someone reads her books, gets a laugh and maybe come to love her characters and much as she does, then she feels that she is living her dreams no matter what!

BLURB

[Siren Allure: Erotic Paranormal Romance, shape-shifters, vampires, HEA]

Anthanasius (Anthan) Vaduva has been alive too long. After more than four and half millennia, he had given up any hope of meeting his One and is tempted to walk into the sun.

Reluctantly agreeing to partner with Martin, another hunter, Anthan comes face to face with his pain and envy when Martin meets his One.

After helping Martin recover his One’s sister who has been taken by a strigoi, Anthan decides he’d had enough.

Will he finally end it all or will he wait and hope to finally meet the One destined for him all those thousands of years ago?

STORY EXCERPT

For 4,482 years he has hunted, he has slept—that’s it. His first hunt was when he was eleven years old. Now he is 4,493.

Too old.

Too long.

Too lonely.

That has been his life.

Early on, he used to dream, he used to hope but that hope has long gone. The temptation to walk into the sun is with him constantly.

Do you know? He reveals, I stay out longer and longer each day. The pain from the sun on my body is all that reminds me that I am still alive. Each time I rise I wonder if it will be the day I finally take one risk too many.

So he fights against those risks.

To stay that extra minute too long in the sun.

To drop his guard intentionally when he fights the strigoi.

At the moment he still constantly wages war with the strigoi but at the same time he also constantly wages it within himself. No one should have to live this long alone. He is afraid that if he were ever to meet his One, he could never return the love given. All his emotions are lost so deeply within that he doubt they even exist anymore. In fact, he has reach a point where he doesn’t think it would be fair to her or him—to love someone who could not love in return.

So now he thinks maybe it’s better to end it all now.

What chance does he have?

None.

Yet once again he rises.

Once again he hunts.

Once again he battles within his heart and soul. Each day passes, each one the same—as the millennia flow past him.

And each time he wakes he wonders who will win this day, this month, this year, this century?

He confesses to himself, How much longer can I do this?

* * * *

Martin walked in and kissed Avril’s cheeks.

“ Live şi lupta cu onoarea, Avril.”

“ Live şi lupta cu onoarea, Martin.”

“Come sit. It’s good to see you.”

“You look even more beautiful Avril, a Hunter’s life suits you.”

“Thank you. It’s good to see you again, Martin.”

She led him to a comfortable chair on the balcony overlooking the distant mountains. She and Viorel were living in their house in Piteşti, Romania. Viorel walked in, Martin stood and greeted him.

“ Live şi lupta cu onoarea, Viorel.”

“ Live şi lupta cu onoarea, Martin.”

Martin sat back down on the chair. Viorel sat nearby, pulling a smiling Avril onto his lap and kissing her cheek.

“How were your parents?”

“They’re both good.” Martin shook his head wryly. “My mother is talking about having another child and my Dad thinks she is crazy but in the end she’ll win.”

“Knowing your mother I’d have to agree. Did you visit your relations as well?”

“Yeah I spent a week with my great uncle, at least that’s what I call him.”

Martin grinned to himself when he thought about the old man. He was a descendant of Martin’s father’s brother. He was in his late eighties and complained he was getting older. He would call Martin by his true name, Omasekew, which meant “a fighter” in Cree. The old man would make Martin do things for him, telling the others that Martin had young feet while his were so ancient. Martin loved it.

The old man knew the truth and the pair laughed together when they were alone. To Martin “Uncle” was a baby. Only a few members of the tribe knew what Martin really was. Many thought he was a piyêsiw, a “thunderbird,” sent to watch over them. It made sense as he would often arrive as a bird and had destroyed a strigoi that had been preying on the people using a lightning bolt. They believed his father had married a piyêsiw-iskwêw “thunderbird woman” and that was how Martin came to be.

“The old man looks so frail. The tribe look up to him, I know it will be hard for them when he leaves. It will be hard for me and Dad.”

It saddened him to leave knowing the old one would not live for many more years.

“That’s the worst part of being a Hunter, losing so many friends and relations over the eons,” Viorel said sadly. “And it just doesn’t get any easier with the passing years either.”

The two men sat thoughtfully, both lost in thoughts of family and friends long gone. Avril wondered how she would cope when her mother passed. She didn’t have any other family alive and her mother meant the world to her.

They were all silent for a while, relaxing in the early evening twilight. The sun had set over the distant Ciucaş Mountains. Viorel broke their reverie.

“That strigoi in Smokey Hills was rather active wasn’t it?”

BETRAYAL (The Unrequited Trilogy #2)

Release Date – 18th March 2015

Blurb:

Following the difficult trials leading to their newfound relationship, Tristan and Joshua thought things would get easier. They had fought their dark pasts together, and made a vow to never allow them to control their lives again.

Now a whole new kind of complication has arrived to test their loyalty and trust. A sexy complication in the form of Logan Mclean.

Lust, lies and emotions run rampant as the Scottish businessman wedges himself between the lovers. Have Tristan and Joshua truly laid the ghosts of their pasts to rest, or will they allow another’s desires to ruin everything? For in this ever growing world of emotion, one step can lead to either complete happiness, or an ultimate betrayal.

Story Excerpt

It had been over two weeks since Tristan Bailey had flown down to Ohio to retrieve his man. A fortnight spent in his arms, naked and sweating. Joshua was insatiable. He left Tristan weak and breathless each and every time they had sex. The man knew how to make him beg, groan and cry out in pleasure. Joshua Malone was a demon, his wicked mouth, talented hands, and beautiful cock all used to fry Tristan’s brain cells and turn him into a needy puddle of lust. Damn, the things that man had done to him. Half of it should be illegal, yet Tristan could not get enough! Joshua was an addiction.

Why, just this morning the sexy bastard had introduced him to his brand-new favorite game, “Dirty Would-You-Rather.” Who knew that depraving a childhood game could be so much fun? Each question asked had led to some serious admissions of dark fantasies, which led to hot and heavy fondling, which eventually led to a few rounds of who-can-fuck-the-hardest! Tristan groaned internally at the memory of Joshua bent over the edge of the bed, pert ass in the air as he fisted the lush rug, desperately trying to keep himself steady as Tristan fucked that gorgeously tight ass of his.

“Mr. Bailey?” Skye’s sugary voice pulled him from his sordid thoughts. The expression on her beautiful face telling him she was not amused. “What do you think about Mr. Mclean’s proposal?” She motioned across the table with her eyes, the threat of a slow death in them obvious. What was she so annoyed about?

With a frown, Tristan turned back toward the man in question. He was staring at him with an amused glint in his eyes. “Are ye back with us, Tristan?” The rough Scottish brogue went straight to his groin, stirring emotions in him that Tristan easily ignored. The guy was good-looking. Tall, dark and mysterious with wavy chestnut hair and green eyes. He had broad shoulders and a tight body which was emphasized by the cut of his grey suit, the wry smirk on his luscious lips alluring. Normally Tristan would have been all about seducing the gorgeous Scot, but now that he had Joshua, all else paled in comparison. Joshua owned him, body and soul, and Tristan would never do anything to jeopardize that, so Logan’s sex appeal dropped from a ten to non-existent.

“Forgive me. I think I returned to work too soon following my accident.” Rubbing the nape of his neck Tristan glanced from Logan to Skye, offering the latter an apologetic smile. Damn, he really needed to get his head in the game. How many more times today did he have to space out before his lovely assistant slapped him, hard? Glancing at Mclean, he smirked arrogantly. “Do you mind if we reschedule?” Skye rolled her eyes knowingly, but nodded as she began to pack away her notes.

Logan, however, looked less pleased. “Ye know I’ve tae be back home in two days’ time. After that, you’d be coming tae Arran tae see me.” He arched one dark brow, his thickly-lashed eyes never leaving Tristan’s face as he waited on a reply.

Fucking hell, he forgot all about Logan’s time restraint on this business trip. The man told them repeatedly that the deal would need to be carried out quickly, as he needed to return home as soon as possible. Asking him to remain another day was rude, but Tristan couldn’t seem to make himself care. He was selfish where Joshua was concerned, and as a businessman, Logan should be used to these kinds of delays.

“How about the same time tomorrow? I promise to have you at the airport on time.” Tristan prayed the Scot would agree, for there was no way in hell he was going to leave Joshua’s side for any length of time to go to Arran. Just being at the fucking office was murder.

Logan eyed him for a long, uncomfortable minute, those murky green eyes scanned his face for something, but Tristan didn’t know what. “Will the celebratory meal continue as planned tonight?”

Tristan nodded once. He had totally forgotten about that damn meal. There would be no delaying that, so hopefully Joshua would be free to attend with him.

“Okay, same time tomorrow, then. You’d better be here and ready tae do this, Bailey. See you later tonight.” Without another word, he stood and walked from the room, his silent assistant tight on his heels.

Heaving a sigh, Tristan sank back into his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose. What was wrong with him? There was nothing stopping them from signing the contracts now. Except his libido, that is.

“Logan, wait!”

But it was too late, the doors had closed and the two men were boarding the elevator. “Fuck’s sake! What is wrong with me?” Groaning, Tristan collapsed back into his chair. He was just waiting on Skye to give him an earful, but it didn’t come. Prying one eye open cautiously, he chanced her wrath. Yet, instead of the harpy he feared seeing, he found himself frowning at the smile curving her black-painted lips. “Ah, to be in love. How does it feel, boss man?”

Tristan closed his eyes again, ignoring her and earning a smack to the forehead. “Hey! That’s classed as abuse in the workplace. A sackable offense, I may add, Miss Thompson,” he drawled as he fixed his eyes on his assistant. It didn’t faze her in the slightest, however.

“What-to-the-ever, old man, now spill. Tell me all about your sexy soldier.” Tristan chuckled at her outburst as he sat up straighter, a fond smile curving his lips as thoughts of his Joshua drifted through his mind. “Where to start?”

Denial, book #1

Blurb:

Tristan Bailey is a man who never takes no for an answer in anything he does or wants. Life treats him good as the CEO of his own airline, and one of New York's finest bachelors. Men and women alike fall at his feet, the world opens to him without complaint. There isn't much he desires. Until he lays eyes on Joshua, that is.

Death has become a living nightmare for Joshua Malone. No matter what he does, a past riveted with pain and destruction follows him and forces him to make life decisions he would rather not. Josh never wanted to be reminded of the heartache that loving someone could bring, but he finds himself struggling to deny Tristan's advances.

Two different worlds collide in a heated meeting of longing and lust. Can the inner fears of one be laid to rest by the newfound love for the other, or will they both be denied?

Excerpt:

Tristan hated these goddamn fucking social events. So much so that he hadn't even bothered to ask what this one was in aid of. It was bad enough that he had to organize the damn thing never mind attend it. Why he even had to was beyond him. He was only the CEO of Bailey Airline after all, no one of great importance. Taking a deep breath he put on his happy facade, huge shit-eating grin in place, and finally allowed his introduction to be made. Head held high, Tristan Bailey descended the grand staircase into the ballroom below, every pair of eyes in the room on him. All he had to do was welcome everyone and praise the charity. Then he could leave.

As he stepped up onto the podium the crowd cheered. Lights flashed wildly as the photographers called out his name, vying for attention. Giving them what they wanted, Tristan kept the fake smile securely in place. He preened some for their enjoyment and winked at the cougars in attendance in order to curry their favors. Fuck, he hated that whorish behavior, yet it was expected of him. Finally getting serious, he addressed the room. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It is an honor to have you all here tonight on this special occasion. I do so hope you are ready to spend a ridiculous amount of money. After all, it is for a good cause." Tristan grinned wider as everyone clapped.

As the sound of his assistants sweet voice came over his earpiece Tristan smiled fondly. "Okay, Mr. Bailey, repeat after me." The girl was a life-saver. His rock.

"When I was asked to host this fundraising event tonight I jumped at the chance. I mean, who wouldn't want to participate and help out such an amazing cause?" As the crowd erupted in another round of cheers, Tristan gripped the ledge on the podium stand. "The AWAN Project was founded in order to raise awareness and empower wounded warriors. Veterans of wars past. Men and women who have risked their lives in order to save millions. Without their aid we may very well be living in a different world right now." Tristan straightened his spine before inclining his head in the direction of Mr. Thompson, a veteran of the Vietnam war. "I think it is about time we recognized this, and in turn do whatever we can in order to repay their kindness. Their sacrifices. No matter how small." Somewhere toward the back of the room someone whistled and clapped. "Hopefully tonight's auction will raise enough money to help those men and women who need it. Don't be shy now, ladies and gentlemen. It is for a great cause after all."

With another of his world-famous grins Tristan winked at one of the female reporters before stepping down from the podium. Such fickle people, fawning and swooning over his money. None of them were truly interested in the man he was, or the real reasons for this function in the first place. It was all about the size of a person's bank account, nothing more, and it was the main reason he hated doing these damn events. With a sigh, Tristan tucked his left hand into his pants pocket and made his way across the room to the bar, avoiding all conversation. He only needed to spend a half hour at the most pretending to be interested, then he could leave.

Rapping the top of the bar, he called for the barman's attention. "JD and coke please, and make it a double." Nodding once the barman went to retrieve the drink, returning quickly with the amber liquid and cold coke from the fridge. Thanking the younger man, Tristan walked away from the bar and found a quiet table to sit down at. Thirty minutes and then he could leave again. That was it, thirty minutes, his support would be given and witnessed by all. Glancing around the room his eyes began to roam the crowd of people in attendance. He smiled and nodded when appropriate, praying that no-one would come to speak to him. He hated this. Still lacking interest he surveyed the main entrance of the room, and when Tristan's eyes landed on the tall blond standing by the staircase his heart stopped. One word came to mind. Mine. A sudden unfamiliar surge of possession wrecked his body, leaving him shaken. He had to introduce himself. He needed to know who that was. Rising from his seat, he quickly made his way toward the beautiful blond.

"Yo, Bailey! How goes it, my man?"

At the sound of his cousin's voice Tristan stilled momentarily. He loved his cousin, he truly did, but the guy had a habit of getting him into trouble. The one and only reason he tended to avoid him. "Callum, how are you, cousin? It's been a while."

With a snort the slightly shorter, dark-haired man replied. "You're telling me. Two fucking years now. If I didn't know how much of a damn weirdo you are I would think you were avoiding my ass." Walking over, Callum grabbed him up in a big bear hug. The guy was huge, and freakishly strong, always had been. With a laugh, Tristan smacked him on the arm, growling to be released as the hired photographers for the nights fundraising event started snapping pictures. It wasn't as if people didn't know who the man embracing him was. They knew every goddamn detail of Tristan's life. He just preferred to keep some things private.

"Let me go, asshat. This will be all over the damn internet tomorrow." Smirking, Tristan nudged his cousin in the back. Callum dropped him with a laugh, causing Tristan to lose his footing. The grin on the other man's face said he'd done it on purpose. The fucker. Tristan glared as he smoothed his jacket back into place before turning in the direction of the staircase, cursing at the realization that he had lost the blond.

Amara Lebel is a new author from a small town in Ireland where she lives with her hubby and gorgeous family. A huge fan of all things male, and considering that she is a little perverted, she often found herself lost in her own depraved mind. Fantasizing about steamy scenes of male love, sensual encounters, and so much more. With a little encouragement she eventually put pen to paper, and now takes pride in sharing her erotic stories of forbidden lust and enchanted romance with her fellow depraved sensualists.
